Off to Kearney we go in September for a night Urban. If you have never run or rode your bike at night I would get those night lights out and start to practice.
Last years race was a lot of fun in the dark. This year we will be starting at 7:30pm so you will have a couple hours of daylight.
The Holiday Inn in Kearney came on as host hotel. Give them a call at 308-237-5971 and let them know you are coming for the race to get the discount.
I am still looking for 1-2 people to race at Milford Lake on August 28. Check out www.adventureracekansas.com and let me know by August 7 so we can train together a little.
Platte River Trail Run / Park Clean up
The Platte River Trail Run for tomorrow is now marked on the west side if you want to check it out.
The trails will be a lot of fun. We will meet south of the pool and tennis courts at 7am.
I will be giving away some free entries to upcoming races to those that show up tomorrow such as the Xterra and others. Sweet deal.
We will be doing a park clean up for Wagon Train Lake on July 31 at 10:00am. Meet at the beach parking lot. Plan on a couple of hours and then we can go for a ride. RSVP so I can get bags. Don’t forget your park stickers.
I will be planning a park clean up for Platte River SP on the west side for sometime in August or early September. The park has had a number of trees come down with the wild weather this year.
Don’t forget you need a valid park sticker to enter the park.

Kearney’s Night Urban with the Pony Express theme this year really opens up some fun challenges for the event September 11.
I will be posting a few dates in the future for clinics on bike maint. orienteering, gear and team work during races.
As crazy as it seems I have started putting the 2011 schedule together. I have had a few requests to host events so look for us to be going to some new spots next season and also be doing some new type of events.
