• Each team will receive a punch card. Punch the card at each checkpoint coordinating with the number on the checkpoint marker flag. Penalty for a missed checkpoint or other infraction on the course will be 30 minutes.

RACE MANAGEMENT
• Penalties will be added to the team’s total time at the end of the race. All penalties will be communicated to the team captain prior to awards being presented. Winners will be the fastest complete team (including penalties) to cross the finish line with a complete punch card and any other items required.
• The race organizers reserve the right to assess time penalties, bonuses, or disqualifications as they see fit.
• Race organizers may direct volunteers or assistant organizers to help with assessing penalties along the course.
• Race organizers reserve the right to decide whether a person or team may continue for health, safety or other reasons (e.g. inadequate time remaining to finish entire course).
• Race organizers reserve the right to change the rules or the course at any time, based on weather or other acts of nature.
• Any changes to course, penalties or rules will be done at the pre-race meeting.
• Director rulings are final. Formal protests may be made in writing following the race to Jim Craig 108 east 7th Panama, Ne. 68419
• Teams will submit their base team roster for the first Series race they decide to enter in 2010. Teams will use that as their base and from that point on they must have two original members from their base team roster for every race from that point on in order to continue to receive series points for that team. The third person can be anyone they want as long as it is still within that division. For instance, teams will not be able to submit their base team as a coed team and enter as a men’s division later on and get points for the base team. This system only applies to series races.
One thing I have added this year is the “Exception Rule”. I will decide on an exception rule if a team starts out at a race and 1 teammate drops out. That team may continue with the existing 2 teammates and be awarded 1/2 series points in their final placing.
Another exception would be if a team registered and because of a last minute death, sickness or job related issue they may compete as a 2 person and be awarded 1/2 points. Because of the 3 person format it may make their race a little tougher.
These exceptions only apply to teams that have registered as a 3 person team.
Solo and Two person teams may be allowed to race this year at certain races but won’t be eligible for series points. They will be recognized at each individual race.
Any teams with these issues will be advised to contact Jim Craig for the final decision and advise.
• Teams may be required to show a form of ID at checkin.
